A garden storage unit can hold materials that do not belong in an ordinary junk load. Sort first so the estimate reflects what is actually present and restricted items do not surprise the crew.
Keep, remove, ask
Keep personal items and usable tools. Remove or separately identify fuel, pesticides, herbicides, paint, batteries, propane cylinders, and pressurized containers. Ask before including soil, concrete, tires, or unusually heavy equipment.
Make an access inventory
Count steps, measure the gate, note soft ground, and estimate the carry distance. Photograph overhanging branches and tight corners.
Finish with the base
Decide whether the request covers only the storage unit or also a timber platform, pavers, or another base. Concrete removal is separate work and should never be assumed.
